Finding Consistency (Free Yoga Challenge!)
Like many things in life, consistency is key to seeing benefits from our yoga practice. And I get it— it can be hard to stay consistent! We are constantly making excuses about why we can’t commit and we don’t have time, especially when it comes to our own wellbeing.
I want to share the 3 biggest tips that have helped me stay consistent in my yoga practice, and also share a special challenge I’ve put together to help you with just that— consistency.
So, how do we become consistent in our yoga practice? It takes a conscious mindset shift towards forming healthy habits. Here's some tips I've learned along the way:
1. Commit to a certain amount of days to do yoga every single day, or maybe every other day, or maybe once a week. Commit to a frequency that works for you and stick to it. Before you know it, you'll have created a habit out of it.
2. Break the mental barriers. You don't need to be flexible, have brand name clothes, attend a $20 class at a boutique studio, or anything else you might be thinking is a prerequisite to do yoga. Leave your pajamas on, roll out your yoga mat, take a couple deep breaths. It doesn't need to be anything fancy... just get your body moving and stretching!
3. Hold yourself accountable. Accountability is so important, and it looks different for everyone. It might look like a group or buddy system (P.S. that's part of the reason the Yoga with Cassidy Community Facebook Group exists). It might be scheduling it into your planner.
And I want to introduce you to my Wellness All Week challenge, so that you can form those healthy habits and stay consistent!
The Wellness All Week challenge includes 7 days of free yoga classes and a workbook to help you build mindful habits. Each yoga class is 10-15 minutes long (perfect for fitting into your busy schedule!) and available to you on-demand, for free.
Plus, I’ve included a workbook that you can follow along with throughout the week and use to set your intention, track your yoga practice, and build another positive habit of mindfulness by checking in with yourself! Get the workbook here!
