gentle embodied hatha
60 minute class providing a space for you to play, rest, and explore what it feels like to be in your body. Postures will often be low to the ground, with no (or limited) standing postures. That doesn’t mean class is necessarily “easy”! In this experience, you will find a mix of opportunities to challenge yourself if you wish, as well as plenty of moments of rest. This is gentle, slow, sometimes silly, hopefully fun, open-hearted yoga. The structure of the class is: an invitation to ground & center, then movement of your body in ways that ask you to notice and be curious, and ends with a restorative posture to support the integration process of taking the practice out into the world. You can expect to use props to support the poses, as well as to encourage you to move in novel ways.

yin
45 minute movement-based practice where every posture is intentionally structured so that the more you let go, the deeper gravity will invite you into the expression. It is a beautiful opportunity to release deeply held tension and learn how to cope with the presence of discomfort on the mat, so that we can do so off the mat. For the physical realm, this practice improves flexibility, releases fascia, improves joint mobility, increases circulation, balances the internal organs along meridian lines, and improves the flow of chi/prana.
